Plan game day

Organize an indoor tournament: eight teams in three hours.

The hall is booked from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eight teams, two fields. Everyone against everyone doesn't fit in, two groups with a final does.

Organize an indoor tournament: eight teams in three hours.

In short

  • Free-for-all with eight teams is 28 games. With 12 minutes of play and a 3-minute break on two fields, the last game is over at 12:27, so it's too late.
  • Two groups of four plus semi-finals and finals are 15 games. It's over on two fields at 10:57, with just under an hour left.
  • On match day, one entry per result is sufficient. The table, live page and hall display follow suit.

First the time, then the format

Free-for-all with eight teams is 28 games. With 12 minutes of play and 3 minutes of rest, a slot lasts 15 minutes. This runs in a field for almost seven hours, until 3:57 p.m. The last game on two fields ends at 12:27, almost half an hour after the hall closes.

Two groups of four are 12 group games, plus two semi-finals and one final: 15 games. The final is over on two fields at 10:57. The hour gained is enough for a game for third place, longer games or an award ceremony without hectic.

An entry on match day

Teams, fields and pairings are ahead. In the hall, one result is enough. The table, live page and hall display show the same status without anyone typing up the plan.

The ad is hanging on the projector or television: next games, tables, and a sponsor slide in between. It updates itself as soon as a result is saved.

What you clarify before the hall key

Two fields need two places where results are entered, otherwise one field is waiting for the laptop. Each referee gets his own results link for his cell phone, and there is a common helper link for the referees. Nobody needs an account for this.

Plan for a buffer: a late team eats up the first slot. Three minutes break between games is changeover time, not additional playing time. If the hall is only open until 12 p.m., the final is the last slot, not the award ceremony.

Calculate with your numbers

Enter teams, fields and game duration and see the end time. Without an account, with printing and CSV.

Frequently asked questions

Is one field enough for eight teams in three hours?

For everyone against everyone, that lasts until 3:57 p.m. Two groups plus semi-finals and finals end on one field at 12:42, just too late. With one field, only shorter games or a second field help.

What about more than eight teams?

Then the groups become smaller or the games shorter. Twelve teams in three groups of four are 18 group games. If there are nine teams or more, the event is no longer free in the starter plan.

Does the hall display need its own program?

No. It's the same tournament page in full screen in the browser, plus slides that you create yourself. A laptop on a projector or television is enough.

Create your first tournament. It costs nothing for up to eight teams.

No subscription, no credit card. As the tournament grows, you book the plan just for that one event.
